Collagen Hydrolysate is a flavoured drink powder consisting of bovine collagen hydrolysate combined with vitamin C.
Collagen protein has a structural function, is accounting for 30-35% of all proteins in the body, and is therefore one of the most abundant proteins. It is a key building block for skin, bones, cartilage, tendons, ligaments and connective tissue – in other words, for everything that keeps our body stable, resilient and flexible at the same time.
Why is collagene so important?
From the age of 25, the body produces less collagen. The first signs are reduced skin elasticity and wrinkles, as well as joint problems and longer recovery times.
Intensive training involving eccentric movements, such as running downhill, jumping and strength training, puts a lot of strain on tendons, cartilage and connective tissue. Collagen supports the regeneration of these structures.
It is also crucial for tissue repair after injuries.
Collagen Hydrolysate is suitable for daily intake, as well as after strenuous training sessions or as part of a muscle-building protocol.
It is particularly useful after eccentric exercises such as downhill running or jump training, as these put a lot of strain on structural tissue. When taken alongside whey protein, it can optimally support the formation of connective tissue, skin, and the extracellular matrix. The extracellular matrix is a network of proteins and polysaccharides located between cells that provides them with support, structure and signals for growth, differentiation and movement.
Collagen also helps maintain skin elasticity and connective tissue during the ageing process.
Take 15 g daily with approx. 200 ml of water, supplement with whey protein if necessary.
