L-carnitine plays an important role in fat metabolism
L-carnitine acts as a fatty acid transporter, helping them to pass through the cell membrane into the mitochondria of the muscle cells, where they are burnt for energy production. The function and effect of L-carnitine has been documented in numerous studies, especially its positive influence in the areas of fatty acid metabolism, muscle function, regeneration and performance during long-term endurance exercise.
Other functional ingredients for muscle function and the immune system
Carnitin 1000 also contains other functional ingredients: Zinc helps maintain the function of a normal carbohydrate metabolism. It also supports normal functioning of the immune system, protects the cells from oxidative stress and supports normal DNA and protein synthesis (including muscle maintenance). Magnesium serves to maintain normal muscle function, supports normal electrolyte balance and helps to reduce feelings of tiredness and fatigue. Vitamins B2, B6, B12 and C also contribute to a reduction of fatigue, and together with vitamin B1 they support normal energy metabolism.
